A severe storm outbreak expected Friday into the weekend is threatening over 36 million people across the South.
"Some winds in southern portions of Mississippi and Alabama could briefly reach hurricane-force in thunderstorms that move through", according to the Weather Channel.
"Severe storms could ignite" Friday evening, which will "pose a threat of very large hail, damaging winds and a few tornadoes."
Over 36,000,000 people are being threatened by these storms through Friday night, with another 281,000+ people in threat of severe weather for Shabbos.
The Storm Prediction Center said Friday afternoon that the strong storm moving through "should promote supercells capable of very large hail and a tornado or two".
Hail with a diameter of more than 2 inches is possible in some places, mainly in Texas Friday night and in Alabama on Shabbos.
As of 5pm Friday, severe storms had developed over eastern Texas and western Louisiana.
