Monday, March 1 marks the start of meteorological spring. But wild swings in the weather will likely bring something wintry during the month.
This isn't a promise. But most Marches have at least a couple colder plunges.
Astronomical spring starts on the 21st, by the Equinox.
Over the course of the month, the sun angle gets 11.2 degrees higher in the sky, which means less snow accumulations possible during the day.
Over time, we have average 2 to 3 inches of snowfall in March.
However, models aren't hinting at any cold plunges or anything like that pattern from a couple weeks ago. In fact, many models show warmer than average weather this month.
