A milder pattern has set in, but winter might not be done.
March has brought major swings in weather many times in the last few decades.
One time, temperatures were in the 80s for 4 days straight, followed by 2 inches of snowfall.
We averaged 2.74 inches of snow each March in the last decade.
Generally, snow accumulations need overnight timing and higher intensities to overtake the warmth.
Comuter models are indicating the pattern could go back to, or similar to, what we had the past few weeks.
This would involve Arctic air nearby to supply cold air, and ample moisture from the Gulf.
Obviously, this isn't a guarantee, as the temperature, timing, and intensity all have to line up in order for accumulations to occur.
